🚤 How to Get to Koh Yao Yai from Phuket

Koh Yao Yai is easily reached from Phuket, making it an excellent destination for photography trips from your Phuket-based studio.

1. Speedboat / Ferry from Phuket

Most visitors depart from Bang Rong Pier, northeast Phuket. Boats run regularly throughout the day, especially during high season. 

  • Speedboat: ~30–40 minutes across Phang Nga Bay
  • Ferry / Traditional Boat: ~30–60 minutes depending on vessel and weather
  • Tickets can be booked locally at the pier, online, or through hotels and travel agencies. 

2. Taxi / Transfer to Pier

From anywhere in Phuket, take a taxi or private transfer to Bang Rong Pier. Many travelers arrange this in advance for convenience and timing before sunrise or golden hour shoots.

We are based in Phuket, but our team is available to photograph clients across nearby provinces and throughout Thailand.

All travel and accommodation expenses related to destination shoots — including ferry or boat transfers, drivers, and overnight stays — will be calculated separately and added to the selected photography package.
